Time-Travel Experience: Park Moonlight Hotel In Bolzano

Park Moonlight Hotel embodies the philosophy of “nourishing eyes, mind, and body.” Through a triad of historic architecture, contemporary design, and local cultural experiences, it creates an immersive time-travel journey beyond traditional hotels.

Its success lies in preserving Bolzano’s alpine soul while innovatively scripting the future of this century-old space.

1. History & Architectural Features

• Century-Old Heritage: The main building dates back to 1890, blending Italian and Austrian cultural elements in Belle Époque style, while preserving the original structure of its 14th-century (1320s) medieval annex.

• Design Team: Renovated by Biquadra Studio, balancing historical grandeur with modern aesthetics—such as ivy-covered courtyards and facades that evoke a “Visconti-esque cinematic atmosphere.”

2. Spatial Design & Room Themes

• “Cinematic Italian” Aesthetic: Rooms feature dark wood, velvet, and contemporary furniture, paired with artworks by female artists (Irene Fernández Arcas, Karla Hiraldo Voleau), merging old and new.

• Artisanal Details: Herringbone floors, handmade ceramics, public areas stacked with indie magazines, and the natural fragrance of Susanne Kaufmann’s herbal toiletries enhance the serene ambiance.

3. Experiences & Service Highlights

• Luna Bar Garden Lounge: Serves signature cocktails (e.g., Campari vodka, Negroni) and local-ingredient bites (Gorgonzola polenta, burrata pumpkin salad), becoming a social hub for tourists and locals alike.

• Wellness Retreat: Upgraded by ALTO Group into a thermal spa destination, featuring a yoga studio (arise), gym, sauna, and panoramic Dolomite mountain views amidst lush greenery.

• Cultural Programs: Regular artist residencies and “À Table” weekend chef’s table events, where European chefs craft custom menus, redefining “modern hospitality art.”
